Not everyone is excited about driving through a couple hundred miles of farm country, but we really enjoy it. Today we drove across most of northern Wisconsin on our way to Michigan. This is the kind of scenery we saw along the way. We parked for the night at Bass Lake Golf Course in Deerbrook, WI. We parked beside another motor home who was also parked for overnight. While we were eating dinner a couple about our age walked past our table. I asked them if they were the other motor home. They were. I invited them to sit with us…unless they wanted some alone time. They were very happy to sit with us. They are now our newest friends from Colorado. We loved meeting them and hearing their stories. He also traveled internationally during his career so we had an interesting conversation about our experiences in other countries and cultures. How does this kind of stuff happen? It’s amazing.
