Through the years my Dad, Grandpa Wolf, developed a tradition of giving Wolf family babies their first tractor ride. Of course each time that little one came to the farm they wanted a tractor ride. All of Dad’s tractors were IH, International Harvester, tractors. So IH and red became meaningful expressions around grandpa. As time past he made up a little song and taught it to the grandchildren. They sang the song with him as they rode the tractor. Grandpa’s dog Duke often rode the tractor, but he was pretty quiet. Eventually this was a family song known by all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad died December 26, 2017. The last song of his funeral service was the IH Tractor song sung by all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. This video is a tribute to Dad and his tradition.
